Crest & Coat Of Arms Engraving Revolutionised By Technology

Using state of the art, ai technology, depth mapp generating a family crest into a 3D engraving file, Imported into my yag galvo fiber laser engraving machine the results are so stunningly detailed it seems almost to good to be true

Handcrafted, Not So highly polished

Now just to be absolutely perfectly clear, NO you are not ordering the same type of engraving as the demi lion holding a sword example, that is more like a traditional hand engraving

I am not pretending that my products look, feel, or are in any way as good as the work of a highly skilled hand engraver, and no I do not provide a wax impression, in a fancy box, with a ribbon and a gift tag

What I do provide is an affordable alternative , an exceptional quality ring, with an engraving that will last equally as long as a hand engraved die stamped ring from one of the countries best hand engravers charging from £350.00 , and often as much as £600.00

Innovation like never before

Starting with an original image taken from Fairbairns book of family crests

Or if you prefer your own artwork provided high definition of suitable quality

Images must be large, clear, NOT WATERMARKED

This is then converted using technology into a deep relief image 2.5D

Using my computer I convert this into 256 greyscale image suitable for laser engraving

.

Your Artwork converted into a digital file

This technology was not around until very recently , a breakthrough making what was once the most intricate and challenging process, that took highly skilled craftsmanship and tools many hours per engraving, can now be done in half an hour.

It does however require a high spec computer to generate the images, and a sophisticated fiber laser engraving machine to process the designs into metal.

And an understanding of how the technology works, and an eye for detail to produce a quality product, but at a fraction of the price is now affordable to all.

The finishing touches enhanced by hand

When the engraving emerges from the machine, it is raw, the laser burns the metal away layer by layer leaving a charred looking mess.

This requires some gentle refining, some care and attention before it has the desired effect, representing something that closely resemble the work of a hand engraver.

The jewellery is engraved before finishing or polishing, that is best carried out after engraving, and my rings are specifically designed with perfectly flat faces, and a taller than average profile so they fit precisely into my jigs for the machine, making the process very streamlined quick and efficient. (i only engrave my own handmade rings)

The end result really is astonishing

This is the very beginning  of my jewellery manufacturing career, having been training for 18 months to perfect my process before offering a single item for sale.

Engravings are all carried out after rings have been either cast to order in the desired finger size, head size and shape, or after selecting a suitable ring from my hallmarked stock PLAIN blanks, re sized ( never more than 3 finger sizes down ) ( never sized up )

It is my intension to dispatch all orders in under 5 working days (not weekends)
